Chic on a shoestring
This month's WI was a talk from Mary Jane Baxter about her book Chic on a shoestring.
Once again the story was of someone who left 'normal' work to do something creative they loved - not something great to hear when I feel like I do about my work at the moment.
Even so, it was very inspiring, and as soon as I have got my bead, button and ribbon stashes together, plus found some time from somewhere, I'll get on with making and improving some stuff.
I realised however that I've already done some upcycling of my own in the past. I think the projects to attack are a collar and a hat. Now that I've got the book from the library (cheapskate thrifty person that i am!), watch this space...
