My top music in 2011

I didn't listen to so much music last year after switching jobs and being 1) without access to a music player and 2) too busy.  But there are still plenty of stats to look at.

My top 20 artists haven't changed too much compared to last year:
Los Campesinos! *
Pulp
Belle and Sebastian *
Blur *
Frightened Rabbit
Two Door Cinema Club
Noah and the Whale
Florence + the Machine
Elbow
Patrick Wolf
Phoenix *
British Sea Power
Yeasayer *
Delphic *
Bloc Party *
Fanfarlo *
Ash
Ben Folds
My Life Story
The Pains of Being Pure at Heart *

* Also in top 10 2010
That's out of 631 artists I've listened to in the last 12 months.

I don't have a top list of albums out last year - I think I am a bit behind with things, must be getting old.
My 10 most listened to albums were:
Two Door Cinema Club - Tourist History (2010)
Frightened Rabbit - The Midnight Organ Fight (2008)
Florence + the Machine - Ceremonials (2011)
Pulp - Different Class (1995)
Elbow - build a rocket boys!(2011)
Delphic - Acolyte (2010)
British Sea Power - Valhalla Dancehall (2011)
Phoenix - Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix (2009)
Patrick Wolf - Lupercalia (2011)
My Life Story - The Golden Mile (1996)

These 10 albums together accounted for only 285 plays - so that's only listening to each less than 3 times on average.

My 15 most listened to tracks were:
Ladyhawke – My Delirium
Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros – Home
Fanfarlo – Fire Escape
Kele – Tenderoni
Delphic – Clarion Call
Gonzales – Let’s Groove Again
Delphic – Counterpoint *
Little Comets – Joanna
Two Door Cinema Club – I Can Talk
Everything Everything – Schoolin’
Los Campesinos! – Letters From Me To Charlotte (RSVP)
Pulp – Pencil Skirt
Beck – Everybody's Gotta Learn Sometimes
Jens Lekman – When I Said I Wanted to Be Your Dog
LCD Soundsystem – All My Friends

* Also in top 15 2010
These tracks together accounted for 201 plays, out of 1978 tracks listened to in total.

I was also impressed with myself that I managed to complete a 33 track playlist across the year. Search the music Monday tags for each post or get it on spotify.
