Merry Christmas

I hope to be back at full force in the new year

In the mean time, presents, food, friends and family - can't wait

Relax and enjoy it

Catch up post

It's been a busy few weeks, so I haven't really been keeping up with the posting. This is just a catch-up, where I can touch on a few things I've been up to. I might come back to some of them in time...

  • Shopping evenings on Columbia Road - lovely string of shops including Rob Ryan's boutique, galleries and plenty of Christmas gift ideas
  • We went to Jamie's Italian at Canary Wharf with my friends for a Christmas dinner
  • Open weekend at Deptford's Cockpit Arts - plenty of inspiration and Christmas ideas
  • We went to see Eddie Izzard, which was so funny. We have been doing impressions of raptors since the show (which won't mean anything to most people...)
If you want to see what I've been enjoying recently, see my shared items from Google reader, one of this year's obsessions

So, I guess that will be it for this year. I'll prepare my end of year summaries, and possibly, if it doesn't scare me too much, some end of decade summaries too.

Sneaky Christmas

So Christmas is just around the corner, sneaking up on me so I don't even realise.

I haven't had loads of shopping to do, luckily, so that's not too much of a concern. It's just I was going to put in a little effort this year, making cards, cookies and wrapping things nicely - no chance!

Time to stop digging through Martha Stewart's website looking at all the projects I could be doing, and resigning myself to the fact we have a half arsed Christmas tree, and that's it.

I watched Kirsty's Homemade Christmas too - 3 hours not doing anything but watching TV, looking at the pretty crafts (some of which required some real time input) and feeling guilty for doing nothing...

Maybe if I start in January, I'll be ready for next year.

London in print

After drooling over Jim Datz' illustrations of New York and Brooklyn, I was excited to see a London one!

And it's from one of my favourite shops, Pedlars
